Hi Mr CEO. first of all, i would like to say thanks for your effort to championing all the corporate social responsibility programs particularly in Malaysia as well as the entire world that PETRONAS has established. But, one thing that always distracted my mind is why PETRONAS with it's multi billion revenue every year could not add the subsidy of the oil prices so that the Malaysian can enjoy a slightly cheaper oil price than the current one. As a company that owned by the 'rakyat', PETRONAS should spend the biggest amount for the sake of the people rather than sponsoring the expensive sport in the world, i means F!. Hope you can give me a good explanation. TQ~
HI Mr.,
Before I proceed with the explanation as a reflection to your question, I would like to say a million thank you for your effort to spend a little bit a time to read through my blog and also posted a comment and opinion. For your information, PETRONAS through the government had spent about more than RM 80 billion to subsidize the oil and gas in Malaysia. The amount comes from the revenue of this company. Beside that, the government already changed some policies to rationalized with the current situation. PETRONAS cannot sell the oil dan gas below the international market price because it will effect the country's economy as a whole. Malaysia also is not an OPEC member, which means we are not actually have a final say when we compared to the others giant in producing an oil. I advise you and myself to practice a good consumerism in every day life. I hope you happy and satisfied with my humble explanation. Once again, thank you very much for your time.
Regards,
Mohd Hazrul Zolkefle
CEO PETRONAS
